Bill Hicks says its gonna work out

So I was in the middle of doing a best and worst list of 2008 and only got 3 posts up due to deleting half my blog. After a bit of panic, prayer and peeing (not in that order) I was able to recover the previous posts. Wow thank God I’m a genius right?

Anyway the above video was going to wrap up the whole sorted mess that I was calling the best & worst of 2008. The man legend in the above video is Bill Hicks. If you have never heard of Bill Hicks leave this page right now. Go to youtube. Type in Bill Hicks then laugh, learn and return to this page. If you don’t get it never come here again. Ever. Its just that simple.

I can go on and on about the brilliance of Bill Hicks. His masterful approach of conveying his ideas and opinions by using jokes that did not pacify but provoked the auidence. In 1994 he died of pancreatic cancer and left behind a timeless social commentary that left us wanting more. 

But the ideas and advice he gave us lives on.

BEST and WORST of 2008 part 1

Ok lets get things going with a couple guys that are really damn funny. I know many of you out there may already know who these guys are and if you do just keep your trap shut. Ok? Let me enjoy my moment and tell my story. Don’t go ruining it for everyone else. Thanks

Anyway meet BaratsAndBereta. These two met in an improv class and then decided to start a comedy team. So after a few postings on youtube, a few million views and BOOM! Now NBC has approached them along with a few other Hollywood types. But more importantly I am posting about them now.

I really do like these two and although a couple of their vids just miss the mark most of them are really funny. Regardless any of their videos beats the hell out of watching any SNL skit in the last few years. Wait. That wasn’t a very good comparison because I have read suicide notes that were funnier than the last few seasons of SNL.

Also be sure the check out their Harty Boys skit and the McDonald’s skit, which I almost posted instead of the one above.

Ok guys and ….ladies (Rawr) I’m back posting for your reading enjoyment1 I know there has been a void in your lives since I haven’t been around giving my opinions on all the things that truly matter. I gave up posting for a while. I just didn’t know if I had it in me anymore.  I was just going through the motions. It just wasn’t me anymore. But recently it seemed as if fate had stepped in. I received a couple of emails from loyal readers wanting to know what was going on.

So fuck it. Here I am and I brought a list. This is list of the best and worse of 2008. I know I know you can stop rolling your eyes because this is list is like no other. This list will actually be fun. So for the remainder of the week I will be posting parts of my list. So just sit back and check in everyday for new installments plus I have some site news coming up also.
