New Watchmen Pictures Look Lame

Since I was just talking about the new Watchmen movie I thought it would be a great time to go ahead and post a couple new pictures that were released over at TotalFilm.com. You may want to visit their site for the entire story and a few other pictures that I didn’t bother to post here because I thought they were boring.

But for the two pictures I did decide to post here…uh…yeah. What the hell right? I mean really what the hell? These pictures look like they are winners in a Wizard magazine costume contest. And please someone tell me why a Nazi supervillian isn’t wearing any pants? Anyone? I mean I know Germans can be pretty weird sometimes but come on. This is just too freakin’ much, even for a Nazi! But I guess I shouldn’t pick on the Nazi too much, because he at least looks cool from the waist up. It’s just the waist down part I can’t handle. I mean really is he trying to showcase his “package”?

But I guess in some weird way it’s better than the “old man balls” beside him. That jackass looks like an idiot from head to toe. Jeez. And don’t even get me started on the fucking hamburgler in the back. These morons better be pretty damn cool and in some seriously heavy shadows if they are going to pull this shit off.

Last but not least we have Night Owl’s Antarctica outfit. Wow just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse right? I’m still trying to figure out if he is supposed to be pimp at a ski slalom or a lucha libre. Freakin’ La Parka’s costume scares me more than this shit.

I still have faith in the movie but after seeing these pictures I have to say I have my doubts.

New Watchmen Poster

I admit, I was looking forward to seeing the Watchmen movie. I was so excited. Wow one my favorite comics brought to life on the big screen. I know it will be awesome because its being directed by Zack Snyder! I was so very happy.

But then Fox steps in sues Warner Brox, over the rights for the film. Thus delaying the film to the point where people began to wonder if it would even be released. Sadly my happy went bye-bye. When I heard this I stamped my little fanboy feet and shook my little fanboy fists. As the weeks went on I said fuck it and lost interest. So if I am behind on the latest Watchmen news, too bad, because I still don’t care.

But now according to the above Watchmen movie poster the movie is finally being released 3-6-09. I know this is probably not news to most of you but again I must say I don’t really care. Besides you just don’t understand. I’m tired of this movie toying with my emotions. I’m not just some cheap thrill Watchmen movie! You can’t just play around with my emotions like this. Making promises and setting dates only to back out time and time again. You should be ashamed of yourself Watchmen Movie. Leave me alone Watchmen movie. Don’t touch me!

Olivia Munn jumping in Pie

I have a couple of serious things I just had to take a little time to let you guys know.
First off let me just say that the posts have slowed down because I have been slammed with freelance work lately, which is good for me but bad for the blog. So just bare with me, I will be back to making fun of shit and being super awesome very soon.
Ok now for the really important news. My geek crush of 2008, which is spilling into 2009, Olivia Munn will be dressing as a sexy French maid (what other kind is there?) and jumping into a pie tomorrow on AOTS. Unbeknownst to me, Olivia had created an online petition to declare National Pie Week. Olivia really loves pie.
Anyway apparently Olivia said once the petition reaches 50,000 signitures she will dress as a French maid and jump in a giant pie. Well currently its at 51,952 so she’s jumping. This chick rocks!
In a related story I have no life.

Bill Hicks says its gonna work out

So I was in the middle of doing a best and worst list of 2008 and only got 3 posts up due to deleting half my blog. After a bit of panic, prayer and peeing (not in that order) I was able to recover the previous posts. Wow thank God I’m a genius right?

Anyway the above video was going to wrap up the whole sorted mess that I was calling the best & worst of 2008. The man legend in the above video is Bill Hicks. If you have never heard of Bill Hicks leave this page right now. Go to youtube. Type in Bill Hicks then laugh, learn and return to this page. If you don’t get it never come here again. Ever. Its just that simple.

I can go on and on about the brilliance of Bill Hicks. His masterful approach of conveying his ideas and opinions by using jokes that did not pacify but provoked the auidence. In 1994 he died of pancreatic cancer and left behind a timeless social commentary that left us wanting more. 

But the ideas and advice he gave us lives on.

Hey look history

I try to stay away from politics on my blog for two reasons. Number one I will think your views are wrong and number two I am too dumb to know what’s right. So you can see my dilemma. Anyway this isn’t as political as it is historic. So here it is the 2009 Inauguration and Address of President Barack Obama.

On a side note to this historic day. I heard that when Bush showed up for his final appearance as President the crowd greeted him with the chatting of NA NA NA NA…NA NA…HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE! Now I don’t condone that sort of behavior; I encourage it.
